As a result of a leave of absence, ETFO Durham is holding an election to fill a one-year vacancy on the Local Executive.
The Local constitution states that:
“...a vacancy at the position of Executive Member occurring during the first year of the two-year term of office, shall be filled by an in-school vote. Members shall be invited to nominate candidates to fill the vacancy. A candidate shall take office immediately after the election results are known.”
Stewards will conduct in-school votes on October 3, October 4 or October 7. Ballots will be collected and counted, and members will be informed of the successful candidate on October 9, 2024.
The candidates for election are:

Antionette Payne, Clara Hughes PS
Linda Ring, Applecroft PS
Valerie Sloan, Meadowcrest PS
Deborah Woodcock, Captain Michael VandenBos PS
